Helping Keep Restrooms Available When They're Needed Most

The Daily Sentinel recently covered Toilet Equity's search for new host locations as changes to local shelter services created new challenges for restroom access in Grand Junction.

As community needs change, our goal remains the same: ensuring that people have access to safe, clean restrooms while helping keep human waste out of our parks, alleyways, and waterways.

One of the things that makes Toilet Equity possible is our incredible network of host partners. Churches, nonprofits, businesses, and other community organizations provide space for our composting toilets, allowing us to place them where they're needed most. Their partnership helps create healthier public spaces for everyone.

We're grateful to the Daily Sentinel for highlighting both the challenges and the collaborative spirit that make this work possible.

Interested in becoming a Toilet Equity host? We'd love to hear from organizations that have space for a public composting toilet and want to help expand access to safe sanitation in our community. Together, we can continue building a cleaner, healthier Grand Junction.
