The Daily Sentinel recently published an article about Toilet Equity's appeal of the City of Grand Junction's decision not to renew our wastewater disposal permit.
This decision affects where we dispose of the material we collect—not whether we continue providing restroom access.
Our toilets remain open, and our team continues to clean and service them every day. We have arranged an alternative disposal site while we work through the City's appeal process, ensuring that the waste we collect continues to be managed safely and responsibly.
We believe safe sanitation is essential public infrastructure. Every day our toilets help keep human waste out of our parks, alleyways, and waterways while providing a safe, private place for more than 200 people to use the restroom.
We're grateful to the Daily Sentinel for covering this important issue and helping our community understand what's at stake.

As this process continues, we'll keep sharing updates here on our website. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with words of encouragement, letters of support, and donations. Your support helps ensure that this essential service continues while we work toward a long-term solution.
